The administration team stands in for day to day quality support on first and second level. It includes amongst other things: creation and deletion of users, debugging of error messages, troubleshooting firewall issues, troubleshooting printing issues, support for peripheral software,... At least, each month one person physically moves itself to the company to settle tasks and to perform a full check up of infrastructure to keep everything running smoothly and to tackle recurring issues on a permanent base.
Other projects are handled too, but not included in the standard maintenance contract. This type of support falls under the third level support. Projects like version modification, driver upgrades, installing of new appliances and applications are categorized under this level. These services get billed on a “on demand” basis through a monthly bill. Of course, Transtec is informed about budget costs each time before such a project is undertaken, so it can measure at all times the costs of our IT deployment inside its company.
